BTS is new global trending boy group . Burn the Stage: The Movie (Korean: 번 더 스테이지: 더 무비; RR: Beon Deo Seuteiji: Deo Mubi) is a 2018 South Korean musical documentary film directed by Park Jun-soo and produced by Yoon Jiwon, featuring the behind-the-scenes of boy band BTS' 2017 The Wings Tour, an event known for drawing in more than half a million fans in 19 different countries around the world. It was released on 15 November 2018, and its distribution was handled by Trafalgar Releasing.[1]
Tickets became available for pre-order on 22 October, and the movie was released in theaters on 15 November 2018, for a limited time at select theaters.[2] The trailer for the film was released on 23 October 2018.[3]
Due to popular demand it re-entered theaters in select countries on 5 and 6 December 2018.[4] On its second run it beat One Direction's attendance record for an event cinema release after reaching two million ticket sales.[5]

Having sold over 20.3 million albums on the Gaon Music Chart, BTS are the best-selling artist in South Korean history,[458][459] surpassing Shin Seung-hun's record of 17 million albums.[460] In South Korea, BTS hold four Multi-Million albums and three Platinum streaming singles.[461][462] As the first Korean group to receive an RIAA certification, BTS has one Platinum album, three Platinum singles, two Gold singles, and one Gold album in the United States.[463] In Japan, BTS is the first male foreign act to receive a Million certification for a single;[464] they also have two Multi-Platinum singles, one Multi-Platinum album, one Platinum album and four Gold albums.[465] BTS are also the first Korean group to receive certifications in the United Kingdom, with one Silver single certification for "Boy With Luv" and three Silver album certifications for Love Yourself: Tear, Love Yourself: Answer and Map of the Soul: Persona.[466][467]
BTS have a large social influence and as of 2020, have attained fourteen Guinness World Records, including the world record for most Twitter engagements.[138] To date, they have spent 207 weeks at number one on the Billboard Social 50 chart.[468] In October 2018, BTS was awarded a fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea for their contributions in spreading Korean culture and language.[411] In 2019, members of BTS were invited to become members of the Recording Academy in honor of their contributions to music and as part of a push to help diversify Grammy Award voters
On November 7, 2019, BTS became the first K-Pop act to remain on the Billboard 200 for a whole year. "Love Yourself: Answer" reentered Billboard's main albums chart on Monday November 4 (No. 165), and as of November 2019, has remained on the charts for 52 non-consecutive weeks, making it the first and currently only K-pop album to do so.[471][472] In October 2020, BTS topped the Billboard Artist 100 for an 11th non-consecutive week, extending their record for the most weeks spent at number one on the chart among all duos and groups.
